Switch to a thicker yarn and you can knit much quicker. In just three hours I managed to knit myself a lovely chunky scarf to seem me through the rest of winter.

After a couple of weeks of knitting my own scarf I’ve realised that I’m going it far too wide. So, after a bit of careful thought I’ve unpicked it all and started again. Second time around, it’s going much better.

As a first-time knitter I’m finding it slow going. So far my scarf is just 12cm long, and on my rough calculations it should take a total of 125 days to complete. It’ll be summer by then.
