It feels like summer is finally on the way as I can now look out of the window and see the wigwam of bamboo canes I have built to support this year’s bean crop.
Spring is well under way so we’ve spent the day planting the seeds for this year’s crops. As we approach the end of April, our potting bench is full of potential.
We had our first proper harvest at the weekend. Three types of beans: French, runner and broad. Not a huge amount of any variety, but enough to cook ourselves a three-bean risotto for dinner.
