April was a month of successes as we opened the first bottle of our homemade plum wine and cut into the round of cheese that we had been maturing in the outhouse.
Hoping the last of the frosts have passed, we’ve transplanted this year’s mint and rosemary. Whether they make it as far as summer is in the hands of the weather.
Garlic needs some very cold weather before the spring comes along if it’s to grow well, so the snow and ice we’re having right now makes this the perfect time to get it started.
