We have our own at home, but it gets so much attention it may be time to make some more.

We have a cute chicken doorstop at home. It’s like a chicken Tetrapak, made of fabric and filled with rice, that keeps the dining room door from flapping in the breeze.

It always gets comments, so it’s great to see that The Guardian has spotted their genius and published instructions for making your own. It looks very easy, and needs only a little bit of fabric cut from old clothes, some cotton and needles and about an hour of your time.

Although we already have one, I’m quite tempted to have a go at making some more for other rooms in the house or, as the paper suggests, as gifts for friends.
