  • "Hens are dropping dead on a free-range farm because hot-air balloons and low-flying aircraft are causing their eggs to explode inside them."

Apparently the sound of the burners firing sends them into a panic. They run for cover, bumping into each other, and their eggs break internally. Scary stuff.

  • "Just under a third of London’s total area is either green space or water. There is also a large amount of roof space that can be used to great effect. We have the space available, we just need to use it!"

What an excellent idea. A politically-backed drive from the mayor to use London's green spaces to grow food locally, rather than shipping it into the supermarkets.
