Have you missed any posts in Blagger this month? If so, check out these entries that have proved popular among the site’s visitors.

Crafts: I’ve finished my scarf before the end of winter, and it’s already getting worn. I’m very happy with the chunky, soft, warm results, and it’s inspired me to start knitting a blanket.

Dairy: Our first home-made cheese came out of the press and is now maturing in the outhouse. It’s still several weeks before we can start eating it, but it’s starting to smell good already, despite growing some mould.

Growing your own food: We’ve planted some rhubarb in a shady spot at the back of the garden where it will stay nice and moist and shouldn’t spread too far through the plot. It’ll be a year and a bit before we can eat any, but we’re already looking forward to autumn rhubarb crumbles.

Review: Keeping Poultry and Rabbits on Scraps was this month’s read. It’s a reprint of a wartime book, no doubt put out for nostalgia reasons, but still a great read. The information is densely packed, and we wish we’d found it before starting out with chickens ourselves. It’s the only chicken book you need.
