Blagger’s been in a bit of a limbo lately, on account of sorting out the final purchase of my house. The idea for the site was to chronicle efforts to live a low-impact, low-cost life, and really the last few months were just warming the engines, hence the sporadic updates.

Anyhow, the purchase went through last week and, despite a few last-minute delays in getting me in and the vendor out I’ve been a home owner since Wednesday.

I’ve since bought grow bags and tomato seeds and stashed them in the greenhouse ready for a planting session this weekend. Only after I’d bought them did I learn that you’re better off buying tomato seedlings instead, but I guess they have to grow from something, so seeds it is.

I’ve already had a promise of help on clearing the space that will be my vegetable patch, and talked to a builder about resurrecting a wall that’s fallen down at the back of the garden. I’ve also been given some lettuce seeds, which promise to bear fruit (or vegetables, if that’s what lettuce is) in just three weeks.

So… let the blagging proper commence.
